Competency Measurements

Do you have the X factor syndrome or are you good at your work?

Most companies acknowledge the importance of measuring the competencies of employees. 'We need to know where we are, before we know how to reach the objective'. However most measurement results are based on surveys, where either the person in question is asked to assess their own abilities and their potential or the people working close with them are asked to assess them. Not surprisingly, when people rate themselves they usually rate themselves higher than they actually are! Unfortunately our subjective assessment of ourselves it not always consistent with our real actions. Most people having watched the TV program the X-factor will remember the first episodes, where talentless people try to sing. They were all sure they had what it takes to win the competition, and despite their age and experience they were unable to see their own limitations. They were convinced they had the X factor, even though they did not possess the necessary abilities.

Objective results
TACK International A/S has developed an international measuring tool, which focuses on the employee's real competencies. The survey will objectively measure their ability to choose “best practice” in a variety of sales and management situations. These concrete situations help ensure that no one can guess their way to success - the correct answers require real competency. Objective measurement of people’s competency level is a good indicator of the effect their abilities are having on the business as a whole.

Short path from results to prioritisation
The results from the test questions are grouped and from the results you will be able to see whether individuals need to improve their skills and, if so, where they should improve them.
When you complete a test the results will be presented in a clear and concise model. The model may be used for discussion with management on development areas, restructuring of work, coaching, training etc.

Try it yourself
You can try a test measurement in basic sales or basic management free of charge and without commitment to any training and development. Simply write to info@tack.dk indicating sales or management and within two days you will receive a link to the measurement test. Two days after submitting your answers you will receive your results via email.
